Semolina Hot Cross Bun Loaf a traditional Easter dish with a twist. Featuring a spiced dough, cross, and semolina, this is one of my favorite bread recipes!
Hot Cross Buns are traditional Easter food, typically eaten on Good Friday, but I like to make them throughout the year. This year I decided to make them with Quinoa and chia seeds because a good friend of mine gave me a lot and I have to use them up somehow. They came out really well and vanished in moments. How about giving this a try?
Hot cross buns date back to the 12th century. As the story goes, an Anglican monk baked the buns and marked them with a cross in honor of Good Friday. This became popular and eventually became symbolic of Easter.
This post is a little late, however if you are like me, you will surely love to have these delicious buns whenever you feel like it. And this post is for those who dare to bake Hot Cross Buns whenever they want!
