Five Mangalorean Chicken Recipes

I started blogging in 2009 with a lot of enthusiasm and very little know how.  I was so excited at the thought of sharing my recipes with the rest of the world.  fifteen years later, I have a total of nearly 786 posts including some of my favourite dishes, experiences and escapades in the culinary world.  Going through my blog is like re-discovering myself.  When I read some of the recipes, I am surprised and to be acquainted with the person I was.  I have come to the stage where I check my blog first before posting any recipe.  So I have decided to introduce some of my favourite recipes to my readers and subscribers every month. This month it’s all about Five Mangalorean Chicken Recipes which are all absolutely mouth-watering.  Chicken is a favourite protein in Mangalore and used to be reserved for very special occasions. We ate these dishes for birthdays, festivals and weddings.  Nowadays, thanks to my cooking classes, I whip them up frequently to satisfy my international guests.  Let’s get on with it and take a look at Five Mangalorean Chicken Recipes that I love.

Ma’s Chicken Pulav/Mangalorean Chicken Pulav

My Mum was an outstanding cook and every dish she churned out in her kitchen one of a kind.  She patiently explained the difference between a Pulav and a Biriyani and I have done the same in one of my posts on this blog.

A dish that has become an international favourite comes from Kundapur, the place where I was born.  Although I came across it relatively late in life, it is now a firm favourite in our household.
