This year while shopping for dried fruits and other cake stuff, I came across some lovely figs from Turkey and decided on the spot that Figgy Pudding would feature on our Christmas Menu.
Kabsa is a fragrant, mixed rice dish that originates from Saudi Arabia but is commonly regarded as a national dish in many Arab states of the Persian Gulf. The dish is made with rice and meat and has crossed international borders. It is now in our house to stay. This is my version of it.
Whenever I make this, I have to carefully ration it out to my husband, slice by slice to make it last longer. Cheers to you and let’s sweeten the season with this simple, mouth-watering dessert.

The best part is the lovely, dark chocolate colour. When you see it you just want to eat it right away. And one is never enough. It’s a great gift for anyone and more often than not, I find myself making these for myself for a special treat.
This is a combination of several biriyanis that we make at home and very different from any other. The star ingredient is fish and once assembled makes a delicious one-pot meal that can be served with any curd salad. Why don’t you try it out for Christmas this year and activate your tastebuds?
