Opening Baked Aloe Vera Fish

Have you ever tried cooking with Aloe Vera Concentrate? It supports healthy digestion, soothes the stomach and relieves occasional indigestion. Add it to fish with a squish of lemon and other spices and you will be in culinary heaven.   Best of all Baked Aloe Vera Fish is a simple, satisfying dish that can be made in minutes.  It’s my way of relaxing when I opt to make this surprisingly tasty and healthy recipe.

The Recipe For Baked Aloe Vera Fish

The Ingredients For Baked Aloe Vera Fish:

800 gms frozen Dory fish (wash and pat dry)

1/2 Lemon, sliced thin

Marinade:

1 tbsp Aloe Vera Concentrate (original flavour)

½ tsp jeera powder (cumin)

¼ tsp cinnamon powder

¼ tsp coriander powder

¼ tsp ginger powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp Himalayan salt

1/4 tsp black pepper powder

1 tbsp olive oil

Garnish:

1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves (cilantro), chopped

1/2 lemon, sliced thin

Method For Baked Aloe Vera Fish

Preheat oven to 400° F. Grease an oven casserole large enough to hold the fish.  Mine was a small, square 6 inches one.

Mix the aloe vera, olive oil and spice powders in a small bowl. Wash and pat dry the fish.  Pour the spice mixture over the fish and mix well.  Cover and keep for  20 minutes. Arrange fish in the greased dish.  Top with slices of lemon and chopped coriander and bake in a pre-heated oven for 20 minutes or until done.  Use a skewer to check whether fish is cooked or not. Garnish with chopped coriander and additional lemon juice if desired.  Serve hot with white rice.
