Ice Cream Yee Sang
I was pretty excited when I came across Ice-cream Yee Sang while searching for an unusual one to make this year. I thought the idea of Ice-Cream Yee Sang pretty cool and decided to make it for a friend using ingredients I had at home. I tried it out with plum sauce and without plum sauce and we both decided that we liked the one without the sauce. However, feel free to add ingredients that you like. This is a variation on a beloved Malaysian tradition and I am in love with it.

My Recipe Ingredients:

3 small Ice Cream cups of your choice
1 tbsp Preserved Red Papaya
1 tbsp Preserved Green Papaya
1 tbsp Raisins
1 tbsp chocolate chips, caramel flavour
1 tbsp coconut jelly
1 tbsp almond bits
1 tbsp orange segments
1 tbsp crushed love letters
Plum Sauce to taste ( optional)
Method:
Arrange ingredients on a large, shallow pie dish. Place the ice cream in the middle. Drizzle plum sauce over ice cream if desired. Gather around and have fun tossing. It’s wet, messy and a lot of fun. And oh so delicious! Gong Xi Fa Cai my dear friends.
