Mince pies have always fascinated me. Growing up, I assumed they were savoury because of the word mince—so imagine my surprise when I tasted my first sweet mince pie in Malaysia during Christmas! Since I love trying at least one new festive recipe each year (apart from the usual family favourites), I decided to make homemade fruit mince and mini mince pies.

That year, I was short on time and picked up a set of adorable micro-mini Christmas cutters—angels, bells, and little festive shapes—to top the pies. They turned out irresistibly cute and were an instant hit. Ever since, these tiny mince pies have become my annual Christmas giveaway tradition, enjoyed by friends who look forward to them every season.
